To Register a baby/child up to the age of 5 years old:- Both parents have to be present and provide valid Identification of both parents. If one parent is absent the present parent can register the child. Until both parents are able to register the child, but this is only for a short period of time. There will be no costs involved to register children.
To manage the National Population Register and facilitate lawful migration.
MISSION
To obtain a new ID: - Citizens need to provide a certified copy of the lost/damaged ID. The cost for this will be N$ 75-00 for lost/damaged. Free for first time applicants.
To obtain a Birth certificate:- Citizens need to provide a certified copy of Birth Certificate or a certified document of identification. The cost will be N$ 50-00.
